Exception in einer dll beendet das Hauptprogramm

Hallo,

ich binde dynamisch eine dll in mein Programm ein. Diese scheint aber nicht 100%ig sicher programmiert zu sein. Ab und an kommt es zu Exceptions. Dann habe ich das Problem, daß diese Exception sich so stark auf das aufrufende Programm auswirkt das dieses beendet wird. Ich habe schon versucht dieses Problem durch eine Exceptionbehandlung im Hauptprogramm in den Griff zu bekommen. Leider kein Erfolg.

Hat jemand einen Tipp für mich wie ich das Problem eindämmen kann?

Eventuell hilft es den Aufruf in einen eigenen Thread auszulagern...
