YouTube channel for delphi developers - The Silver Coder
Hello everyone,
Wasn't really sure where to put this post and hopefully this space is ok. I have been out of the programming (at the coal face) for a variety of reasons. Now venturing into this space as tutor and mentor. Having 30+ years in IT and using Delphi since it's release and then Pascal before that I want to share my experience and knowledge with the next generation - or so the theory goes! So... I have created a channel dedicated to Delphi / Object Pascal and is called The Silver Coder ![]() (Used to have blonde hair and then kids and stress came along and age...) If this is something that interests you and want to have a look at what I'm trying to do... I am quite passionate about Delphi and what it can do and hoping I can share something with you. Ps. Although I have only mentioned Delphi , I also use Lazarus and some videos will use that. Looking forward to hearing from you? |

Hey,
You talk about Delphi at you channel, but your profile picture at the channel show C# code? But yes, keep going. Pascal is the best programming language so far. That Emba mess up with Delphi is sad, but unfortunately not to change from our end. Pascal deserve to be well known. It does not matter if it is used with Lazarus/FPC or Delphi. |

So ... I/we have started to build a shopping list application with Delphi and Firemonkey. This is the start of a series starting from very basic, and over next weeks functionality/features will get added. The code is stored on Github here
