License question - oursourcing the development

Hello guys.

Can someone explain this situation:

Company is selling its software products. For years the company has internal team of developers but later it started to outsource the development.

Outsourcing = one or more Individual developers (self employed) develop the software for the company (they have nothing in common, they have their own devices and some of them are in different part of the world).

A Company wants to buy Delphi Professional licenses (using company funds) for outsource developers.

Is it OK if such individual developers use licenses purchased by the company?

Please explain it simply, I know about EULA and other legal stuff but that is really complicated to understand.

Yes.

As long as the company has bought enough licenses for all employees, everything is OK.

A named license is a workstation license. As long as only one person can use it, everything should be fine. The name to which the license is registered should not matter.

But this is only my opinion. You should address such questions directly to Embarcadero, as only they can provide an official answer.
