Which library to get frame from video and video info and playback?

If I want to get frame from video file (preferably without playing it), which library I should use?

And which one is the best for playing (free and D2010+ ready)?

And what about info about audio and video streams (free too)?

With DSPack was problem on Vista and I see version is the same I checked some time ago, is it dead project? However I will try. Do you know way to get frame using this lib (I remember it can make "screenshot" from control, but... but movie must be loaded and displayed)?

Maybe do you know another powerful video lib, but up to date?
