A few assorted follow up comments:
- even if installing Update 2 requires a re-install, it is
dcu and
binary compatible with previous 10.1 Berlin releases, so it doesn't
require you to recompile your code or reinstall components.
- there is really no other way to do a mayor update. working on file
differences with dozens of SKUs and potential customers updates
to files is not an option
- it is a known issue that after Update 2 is installed, your about box
still indicates Update 1. This is what I see on my machine. Clearly
annoying but not worth delaying the release.
- The release version is indeed 24.0.25048.9432
- We are looking into debugger issues on Sierra, email me about
the specifics
- We have fixed the most critical bugs left after Update 1, I know
there is a lot of room for fixing more issues
- You can check your past installer but looking if you have a Tools
| Managed Platforms menu command in your
IDE. This is
available only if you used the GetIt installer.
